Devialet Expert 120 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier – 2×120 W ADH Class‑A/D, Built‑In DAC & Phono, Wi‑Fi/Ethernet Streaming

Devialet Expert 120 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier – 2×120 W ADH Class‑A/D, Built‑In DAC & Phono, Wi‑Fi/Ethernet Streaming Ultra-High-Fidelity Meets Modern Elegance

The Expert 120 is a groundbreaking all-in-one integrated amplifier, designed for the audiophile who seeks absolute sound purity without compromise. It delivers astonishing performance in an ultra-slim form factor, combining the functionality of a preamplifier, power amplifier, DAC, phono stage, and network streamer into a single, elegant chassis.

With its revolutionary ADH® hybrid amplification technology, customizable phono stage, and precision DAC architecture, the Expert 120 offers a pure and transparent musical experience that redefines the standard for high-end integrated amplifiers.

Design & Build – Minimalism Meets Innovation

The Expert 120 features a sleek, ultra-thin design crafted from a solid aluminum block with a mirrored chrome finish. Just 40mm thick, its minimalist aesthetic conceals a vast array of cutting-edge components inside. Every element has been engineered for performance, with extreme attention to detail in circuit design, shielding, and signal path layout.

The passive thermal dissipation allows completely silent operation — no fans, no noise. Its ultra-low-profile architecture makes it a showpiece in any modern listening environment, blending luxury design with cutting-edge audio technology.

Amplification – Exclusive ADH® Technology

At the heart of the Expert 120 lies Devialet’s patented ADH® (Analog Digital Hybrid) amplification, which combines the musicality of pure Class A analog amplification with the power and efficiency of Class D. The analog amplifier handles the signal path, while the digital amplifier supports it with power delivery.

This unique hybrid configuration eliminates the compromises of traditional amplifiers, delivering 120 watts per channel into 6 ohms with exceptional clarity, detail, and control. The result is precise transient response, ultra-low distortion, and musical realism that reveals every nuance of your recordings.

Digital-to-Analog Conversion – Magic Wire® DAC

The proprietary Magic Wire® DAC architecture offers 24-bit/192kHz conversion with vanishingly low jitter and distortion. Rather than using off-the-shelf DAC chips, it integrates a direct digital path from source to speaker using its custom architecture.

This ultra-short signal path ensures signal integrity and purity, enabling the Expert 120 to reproduce even the most complex recordings with depth, detail, and tonal accuracy. The noise floor is astonishingly low, allowing microdynamics and ambiance to emerge with lifelike realism.

Phono Stage – Precision Analog Playback

Vinyl enthusiasts will appreciate the fully configurable phono stage built into the Expert 120. It supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges and can be precisely adjusted using Devialet’s online Configurator tool.

You can define parameters like:

• Gain level

• Load impedance

• Capacitance

• RIAA equalization curves (including non-standard curves)

The phono stage signal is digitized via a high-resolution ADC and processed internally to preserve the original character of analog vinyl playback, while minimizing noise and coloration.

Speaker Matching – SAM® Technology

The Expert 120 includes SAM® (Speaker Active Matching), Devialet’s exclusive speaker optimization technology. SAM works by analyzing the physical characteristics of your loudspeakers and dynamically adapting the signal to improve phase alignment, bass response, and time domain accuracy.

This means:

• Deeper, tighter bass

• Cleaner midrange

• Improved timing and coherence

SAM ensures your speakers perform at their maximum potential, creating an immersive and emotionally engaging listening experience tailored to your exact speaker model.

Inputs & Outputs – Versatility Meets Customization

Despite its minimalist appearance, the Expert 120 is a connectivity powerhouse. Each input and output can be configured using web-based Configurator software, allowing you to customize the amplifier’s behavior to your setup.

Digital Inputs:

• 2x Optical Toslink (24-bit/96kHz)

• 2x Coaxial S/PDIF RCA (24-bit/192kHz)
