Pioneer VSX-LX305 – 9.2 Channel Dolby Atmos, DTS, 8K AV Receiver
The Pioneer receiver is a premium 9.2-channel AV receiver crafted to deliver a powerful, immersive audio-visual experience for home cinema enthusiasts and high-performance audio setups. Designed with flexibility and future-ready features in mind, it combines advanced calibration, high-definition video pass-through, and robust amplification in a sleek and refined chassis.
This receiver offers 9 channels of high-current Class AB amplification, delivering 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms (20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.08% THD) and up to 225 watts at 6 ohms (1 kHz, 10% THD, single channel). With 11.2-channel processing capability, it supports expansive surround setups such as 7.2.4 when paired with an external stereo amplifier, making it ideal for both mid-sized and large theater rooms.
One of the receiver’s strongest assets is the integration of Dirac Live Room Correction, providing high-precision tuning across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz spectrum. Dirac adjusts timing, phase, and frequency response for each speaker and subwoofer to optimize performance to the specific acoustics of your room. The Advanced MCACC calibration system, with phase control and subwoofer EQ, ensuring a tight and balanced soundstage even in acoustically complex environments.
The video side is equally powerful. It features HDMI 2.1 support on 6 rear inputs and 2 outputs, along with one HDMI 2.0 front input. It handles 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz pass-through, ensuring full compatibility with the latest Ultra HD sources and gaming consoles. Additional HDMI 2.1 features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Quick Frame Transport (QFT), and Quick Media Switching (QMS) provide ultra-smooth and responsive playback, especially in fast-action gaming environments.
HDR support includes HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, and BT.2020 color space, delivering rich contrast, vivid colors, and lifelike picture quality. With IMAX Enhanced certification, the receiver is tuned for playback of digitally remastered content at cinema-grade quality, delivering deeper bass, cleaner dialogue, and optimized surround sound.
Connectivity is a major highlight. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth with aptX HD for high-resolution streaming. It integrates seamlessly with AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, DTS Play-Fi, and Sonos systems. It is also compatible with Roon, providing access to high-resolution music libraries. You can stream directly from Spotify, Amazon Music HD, TIDAL, Deezer, Pandora, and TuneIn, while voice control via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa adds convenience and control.
Additional features include an MM phono input for turntables, Zone 2 pre-out and HDMI, dual subwoofer outputs, and full support for high-res audio up to 11.2 MHz DSD. The front panel provides easy access with a USB port, setup microphone input, and a headphone jack. With a total weight of around 10.4 kg and a maximum power consumption of 750 W, the receiver is built for performance and efficiency.
